Be ready to be disappointed because neither of these guys are going to want to take the Saints job when there will be HC jobs available with established QB's that can be the face of the franchise and a plethora of salary cap space to build with.
Sadly the Saints will not be fishing in the same pond that these two guys are swimming in.

agreed. we shoulda never gotten carr. he just delays the inevitable. dumb. shoulda just lost with rattler.
I agree, but I do understand the reasoning for going after Carr. They just missed the playoffs the year before with Winston/Dalton. DA needed "his guy" and a guy he knew very well became an option to be "his guy" again. They went all in, and reality his them in the face hard that this team isn't a QB away from being a legit contender.
DA rolled the dice and ultimately paid for it with his job. Should have been terminated after 2023, but they used PC as the scape goat and brought in a legitimate OC giving DA a little life support.
Now we, the fans, have to deal with the fact that Carr will be on this roster for at least 2 more years and there is a chance that they have to extend him because of Loomis' cap mismanagement.
I'm worried they will restructure Carr's deal this year pushing $30M into future years. Which bumps his 2026 cap hit to $69M, and 2027 void year to $40M. Because of the moves the team needs to make to get cap compliant in 2025, I expect the 2026 cap to be a shitshow again, and they need to extend Carr a few more years to spread out 2026 & 2027. I hope I am wrong, but with how F*ed this cap is, I don't see many other ways. This is also why we will be scrapping the bottom of the barrel for a HC and just have to hope we catch lighting in a bottle again.
