Maybe ask all the posters who said "we got fleeced and our entire FO should be fired".

we did. we would have better compensation had we got extra compensatory pick and not helped ruin his reputation by trading him for trash.

Reports were that the Eagles pitched him in free agency starting with, hey, we want you to come back, but we aren't going to pay you very much because we want to extend Hurts. They made a multi-year offer to him, but they approached it from a position of "we have limited resources", and he declined it. That's the story.

If the Saints made up the story that he was told to leave practice for jawing at his own coaches then I feel very very confident that the biggest mouth in the NFL would have:
1. Told everyone including Roger that they lied and ruined his rep.
2. He would have sued the sh!t out of the Saints org.
Neither happened. With the quickness of the trade and for for a low draft pick I think most can see something went very wrong. And then the eagles said no thank you. So believe who you want to. I'll believe the Saints and eagles FO's and not you. Sorry.

No problem. Reading between the lines, this seems like the Seinfeld "unvitation." You make him a deal you know he won't take so you can say you tried, then move on to other priorities.

He wants more money than the saints or eagles were willing to give him. He is a top player on the field but I think his loose cannon personality off the field makes teams gun-shy to give him money and long term stability.
