Haha your reasoning is laughable. What does being a heisman winner have to do with the NFL? Reggie Bush was stellar in CFB....

you do understand the irony, right?

your entire opinion is baseless b/c you are relying on statistics....of a different season....against different teams....running different plays....

You bear the burden of Ivory being the better running back and you need more than those irrelevant statistics. Based on their football careers as to now, I'll take Ingram. We'll see how it plays out.

statistics are unreliable. you know that. the only way we could have any sense of reliability right now would be Ivory and Ingram's numbers playing in the same role THIS SEASON. That's all I'm saying and it's pretty simple. Any other comparison is erroneous.

Then it would be erroneous to say Sproles is better than Bush, right?

really? you're saying because he won the heisman that he's a better rb than ivory?

wow...you really are an imbecile.
so in a totality of the circumstances sort of way I'm unreasonable for touting a rookie's heisman trophy as proof of greatness when you are relying on irrelevant statistics?

So how do we know Drew Brees is better than Mark Sanchez?

Or do we?

and stats from CFB - which won Ingram the Heisman - are somehow relevant in this argument?

completely different situation. both guys have what, 6 to 8 years respectively in the NFL? Come on man.

If you honestly think Ivory is better than Ingram you are entitled to your opinion. We'll see how it plays out. My money is on Ingram.

so the only way to ever really know if one player is better than another is if they play the same position on the same team?

By your logic, Bush is better because he won the heisman.

your argument is based on statistics. mine is based on my opinion. your statistics just aren't reliable. apples to oranges. we'll see how it plays out. I've just been calling out the conclusive nature of yall's misguided conclusions. Ingram will have a much better career than Ivory.

Have Ivory and Ingram played the same position on the same team? Ivory hasn't played with the Saints since Ingram was drafted.

Ivory looked better last year than Ingram this year. And i like both backs a lot. Its hard to say Ingram has looked better or equal.

The only thing is Ivory's injuries. But if he only has 5-7 carries a game in short yardage he could probably hold up most of the season.

These are 2 Saints players who are both very talented. I dont see the point in arguing who is better after such a small sample size

This is what I agree with. The sample size is too small to make a conclusion. It's also not the same team right now.
