So what happens if all 4 NFC division winners end up at 12-4?

Only team that has a chance at a bye is Carolina. Rams and Saints are eliminated.

Just so there is no misunderstanding, can you explain which tiebreakers dictate that order?

Head to head and conference records

Rams and Minnesota beat the Saints.

Head to head is thrown out if all the teams haven't played each other. We haven't played Philly and pretty sure Rams haven't played Carolina

Then it goes to conference records. That’s why I put head to head and conference records. Saints have 3 losses in conference play : Vikings, Rams, Falcons. If all 4 finish with same record (12-4), Philly would have number 1 seed bc of conference record at 12-2. Vikings, Rams and Saints would be 11-3 in NFC. Saints would be number 4 bc of 0-1 record against both Vikings and Rams.

1st Seed - Philadelphia
NFC East Champ
Wins tie break over Los Angeles, Minnesota and New Orleans based on best win percentage in conference games.

2nd Seed - Minnesota
NFC North Champ
Wins tie break over Los Angeles and New Orleans based on head-to-head sweep.

3rd Seed - Los Angeles
NFC West Champ
Wins tie break over New Orleans based on head-to-head win percentage.

It would have been nice had the league not screwed the Saints in the first Falcons game. Not sure if that would have mattered now though.

The Saints still had an opportunity to win that game regardless of the penalties called. Brees should not have thrown that pass. Horrible INT.

You’re joking right? Gonna be hard to get a bye without the division title.

Camthers can win the division with a win and a Saints loss.

I know there is no way to predict how the NFL season would go, but the prediction thread from the preseason I bumped a little while ago has a post from you regarding the strength of the NFC South.

Go check it out.

If the Saints got their FG before the half like they should have then the Saints are kicking a FG to win the game instead of even trying to score a TD.
