Ball came out when he hit the ground, incomplete pass..

He wasn’t touched by the defender until after the ball came out. Therefore it’s a fumble

The rule isn’t very clear to allow officials to change games for the teams to win that benefit the nfl the most.

I think OP’s point is that Olave was falling to the ground almost immediately upon touching the ball.

3 stumbling, falling to the ground the whole time, steps. You bet your arse if he catches it like that in the end zone it would have been called incomplete.

but he still technically took like 3 step with the ball being controlled in one hand while he did that.
