I like to know how inept ESPN is. Speaking of...one thing I'm sick of is how every talking head makes leaps and assumptions about "bountygate" that just aren't true or haven't been proven, and it gets reported as fact. Everything they know about any topic is learned by watching themselves on tv. As the Metallica lyric goes, "hearing only what you want to hear, and knowing only what you've heard."

There will be another story that comes along soon enough, there always is. In a few years, will anyone still see this story being a big deal?

What I am perplexed and bewildered at, is that NONE of the media - ZERO have bothered to list WHO exactly was hurt or carted off by the Saints since Gregg Williams came to New Orleans.

No one. Nobody. Not one player.

Yes, Kurt Warner was helped (walked) off the field, but it was on a legal (albeit hard) hit - a block actually in the '09 playoff game.

Yes, Favre was helped (walked) off after turning his ankle on a low hit by McCray? in the '09 NFCCG. But that was because his foot was planted and when McCray hit him from behind, his ankle was turned. McCray didn't 'fly through the air and leap directly on his ankle and grab it and twist it all in one motion while lepaing parallel to the ground' !
Could there have been a penalty called on that play? Probably.
Did the Saints hit Favre late the rest of that game? Late enough to merit a late hit or personal foul or roughing the passer penalty?

Uh. No. Apparently not. Not one flag was thrown. As a matter of fact, the Vikings had more penalties than the Saints that game.

And as far as I know, it is perfectly legal to hit the QB AT THE SAME TIME OR EVEN A SPLIT SECOND AFTER he releases the ball.
What were the Saints D-linemen supposed to do?
Bull dog and mad rush Favre, then STOP right before hitting him, bow and say "go ahead your majesty - throw the ball." ???

Vaginakings fans are the most slobbering bunch of whining pulsating vulvafaced orifices I have ever seen.

No one else was hurt or helped off or walked off.

And WTF aren't the Bills and Redskins (at least) being 'investigated'?

If Goodell is really honest when he says the following:

"The league’s investigation is continuing, Goodell added.
“We will continue to follow on any information we have,” he said, “and will look for violations. If we get info, we will follow on it.
“Let’s be clear. We discussed it with the clubs today and I think it is fair to say non-contract bonus payments were happening around the league ... and that’ll discontinue.”

Then why did he or the League Office say there "apparently know other bounty programs currently being run by other teams."

I read the NFL's full report on bountygate and there's a lot of things that need further explanation. There are several gaps in the laid out timeline that just leave you perplexed.

I hope I live to see a day when Payton just lays it on goodell publicly, calling him out for the crook he is.
