That was 100% a "PR" lie to protect his Ego after not being a candidate at all for the Head Coach gig:
"Let's throw Pete Jr. a bone in this process and leak to the media that he is valuable that we had to practically BEG him to stay and be a NFL Offensive Coordinator."
Same B.S. technique was used with Ensminger at LSU. You are a MARK for falling for it twice.
