Didn't say he wasn't a head case, but for 8 years he was definitely worth the pick and the money.

If today you could get Cam Newton in the draft, you're telling me you wouldn't go all in?

given the landscape of QBs this year in college

You keep saying this stupid shite.

JD5 was not considered a top 3 pick going into his senior year and Burrow really wasn’t either. Ward wasn’t looked at as a top pick…..the fact is NOBODY knows what the crop of top QBs will be for 2026. Yes, the Saints need a quarterback but they also need pretty much everything else. Why not draft players who aren’t head cases and have been coached by someone other than their own dad for pretty much his entire playing career.

Just not worth all the baggage associated with this kid that needs to grow up. Reality setting in with no team interest in 1st round. Meddling dad is part of the baggage. Not worth the risk.

i dont really care about baggage or whatever.

I just think you screw yourself taking him for a number of reasons. First, the team needs are vast, and #40 is a premium pick, so you'd lose a needed starter elsewhere by drafting him. Secondly, even if he starts every game this season, we still suck. So what do you do with a top 3 pick next year and much better QB prospects there for the taking? No way you pass on those guys and bet it all on Sanders.

Like..literally today? If he was in the 2nd round I'd get him.

But, QB play hasn't been impressive lately. Which sucks for the game.

Sometimes a head case isn't worth the talent to go all in for.

I remember..

If I’m taking a QB in the first round I’m evaluating everything about him. Not just a few numbers

He botched all his interviews. He sounds stupid when he talks. Coaches don’t want that. GMs and Owners don’t want it. At least not in the 1st round

I have no idea why people can’t understand that. He also has never played for anyone other than his dad. He has a bunch of red flags. He played in a water downed conference.

Burrow was considered a mid round pick going into his final season at LSU. Nobody knows how the 2026 QB class will turn out at this moment.
