I think its really 1. Game respecting game, as they say. A little mutual respect. And 2. Yes,I'm sure free agency has something to do with it. I think Sherman has 2 years left on his deal and Seattle won't be able to keep everybody. SP is years ahead of every body else.

Next season will be Sherman's last year of his rookie deal if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure about the restricted/unrestricted free agency rules under the new CBA, but he will be a FA next offseason unless resigned.
