Much talk as been about Sam Howell and less talk about Sam Hartman. Hartman’s knock has been inconsistencies in BIG games at Wake Forest. Hartman is athletic enough having pocket awareness, definitely has arm talent, and is high character. I’m watching the Taxslayer Gator Bowl with interest.

Hartman is a 57.6% passer over 35 collegiate game, and is prone to turn it over. Reminds me of a poor man’s Chad kelly

A lot of arm punts from Hartman too. Looks like Danny Wuerffel at Florida.

Yup definitely would like to see that completion % in the 60s and like I said inconsistencies in big game below 50% in games with Pitt and NC State with the bulk of INTs coming in those games. However, is that contributed to the offensive talent that Wake Forest has? I was comparing Sam Howell with Sam Hartman. North Carolina had offensive talent last year with RBs starting in the NFL with Williams and Carter and WR Brown on WFT WR rotation. Howell year this year has been less than impressive.

I’m with ya, haven’t been impressed with Howell this year or this QB class in general.

It's hilarious now that people ignored the same things about Sam Darnold when he was coming out. They only thing they harped on was that he was an USC QB who had a great Rose Bowl game the season prior against Penn State. Some many turned a blind eye to the high number of interceptions & fumbles he had the following season.
