Posted by Patrick O Rly It's based on last year's snaps. I've heard conflicting reports, but I here he lined out wide just under 50%.

I believe this was true for the regular season. However in the playoffs, it skyrocketed. Pretty sure there was a PFF article on it saying that it was like 66% then

I think its a issue that needs clarification but do it during the owners meetings and not on the back of any one franchise.
Kind of sounds like what happened with the bounties. Oh wait, they did put that all on one franchise.

The Saints if they lose the court case should trade him the problem for graham is that another team will pay him WR money and stick him in the slot all the time in which those stat numbers will come down. Then he will call himself a tight end again when he gets released from that team.

Just read this on an espn article

quote:

According to ESPN Stats & Information, Graham lined up as a receiver on 67 percent of his snaps in 2013 (45 percent in the slot, 22 percent out wide, 33 percent as an in-line tight end).

The NFL office will decide which position Graham will be tagged. The interesting thing is if the NFL decides that Graham should be tagged as a WR right off the bat, could the Saints then file a grievance?

I am really interested to see how this plays out.
I am sure the Saints could file a grievance, but if they did and won, how would that affect the Saints relationship with JG and keeping him for the future?

The same way negotiating with the player affects the relationship. Long-term, they could just franchise him the subsequent season as well.
