Lutz made every kick the first few days of camp, then had a bad day where he missed 2 and almost shanked a 3rd, had another few days of good days apparently, and then today with a really bad day. All Kickers go through cycles, and I think Lutz is a really good Kicker. But Kickers are the weirdest species of football players. Sometimes they just lose it.
Hopefully its just the weather and he will be fine.

I mean we will see how he develops as a player, but I think the...skepticism... of the Rick Leonard pick was and is justified.
I think the Saints really likely laid a giant egg on that one. No one saw that one coming that early, and even FSU fans were flabbergasted at that one.
Kind of reeks of a Scout they trust just falling in love with potential and not being 100% objective about it. Even the best scouts are wrong occasionally.
My guess is he actually does make the roster and is given a year to develop. If he doesn't make great strides next TC he is cut.
