Ballard had 966 yards from scrimmage as a rookie in 2012. Nothing much since.

He's been injury prone since his rookie season. Hopefully he'll come in hungry and get some Hightower-esque production.

Game winning TD - Spin into end zone

Really enjoyed him at MS State too.

The amount of RBs that the Colts have drafted is mind boggling...

Fun Fact:
Ballard played JuCo ball at Mississippi Gulf Coast CC with our very own John Jenkins.

There's no way this guy makes the roster. Great camp body though.

He was a hell of a college back 3-4 years ago. Reminded me a bit of Pierre Thomas in that he is not overly big or fast, but just got the job done across the board. He ran a slow 40 at the combine, but I never saw him got run down from behind one time at State. Granted he never really broke loose for big gainers against Bama or Lsu. Lol. But the dude had game speed and was a complete back.

He's been pretty well ravaged with injuries throughout his Nfl career but I would not count him out of making the squad. Khiry had that significant injury last year and I don't think that we can count on Spiller either. I'd say Ballard really has a 50% shot of suiting up for at least 1 game for us this year and if things break in his favor he could be solidly within our 53.
