That's what they offered him before he was tagged. They never took it off the table.

I thought they offered him at least $10/year before.

I don't think so. I could be wrong. I mean, it's close to that.

"And the team remains very confident that a long-term deal will be reached by the July 15 deadline. At $9.5 million per year with a considerable chunk of fully guaranteed money up front, Graham will have a hard time rejecting the offer and taking a year-to-year approach that would pay $7 million in 2014, $8.4 million in 2015, and quarterback money of $16 million or so in 2016."

Technically we could franchise him a third time for about $12m and still come out cheaper than the $9.5m per we are offering ($9.2m average if tagged 3 years in a row).

But I think everyone would prefer just to work out a long term deal that makes everyone happy. It also allows us the option to tag a guy like Jordan instead.

Yeah, I could just be getting confused with what we were expected to offer vs what was really offered. Either way, hope it gets done soon.

Take the offer Jimmy - you're a TE. Please work on your blocking skills. Happy 4th!
