I think that what we saw was what people said about Williams in the past. First two seasons, his defenses surprise people, and by the third season, teams know what's coming and adjust. Part of that is his cockiness--which is also what makes players generally want to play for him. But the problem is that, unlike Payton, who will adjust his style when he sees that he needs to, Williams won't. So what makes him good ends up being his downfall.

I'm glad that we can finally close the book on this debate that went on all 2011 season long:

Is the Saints Defense good enough to get us to the Superbowl?

Part of me wants to pursue this.

But I don't want to start another argument.

At the end of the day, I'm both glad we got GW and glad we're getting someone else.
