Saints lost Clowney to Titans for up to $15 million

Deal could be up to $15 million with incentives. Articles said that the Saints had already reached out to several agents to restructure deals of current players to make the potential Clowney signing work.

Not worth destroying your current structure and plan for a one year deal on a guy with 3 sacks last year.

While I get your point, the Titans aint paying him $15 million to simply stop the run. I’m relieved we didn’t sign him at 15. I didn’t even want him at 10. I think Granderson is going to be much improved, and he and Hendrickson backing up Cam and Davenport is going to be a very nice 2-deep there.

Those who bag on Davenport don’t realize his value. He’s just as productive as Clowney and they both miss time on the field. Clowney is an ultra talent, but he isn’t as good as his his check.
