Saints fans are soft and have Denis Allen PTSD

Disclaimer: I am an older fan from pre 1980.
We ljust traded for a big body rec with huge upside. But the fans look at it like wasted a 4th rd pick.
Why can’t the rebuild include trades? You look at it as a wasted pick, when you should love that Moore got his big WR target.
Yup CSP made Loomis (and coach Moore) overpay. But Vele is goons ball.
But this board (especially SFP and St Aug) are melting over a 4th rd pick.
Which we will get back bc of the Adebo signing. (start a new thread and we can argue wether it’s a wash or not)

You rebuild by using your draft picks on young college players that are 21-22 years old with cheap contracts.
You don’t take your 4th round pick and use it on a 28 yr old WR receiver that is currently injured and is oft injured.
Oh yeah… he’s 28 so he must be very experienced WHEN he can get on the field and Not Injured…
Oh no… he’s ONLY in his 2nd yr of Pro Ball.

I lean towards liking the trade. You have to be good before you can be great. It's a fantasy to think we're going to repeat the 2006 season and go from dogshit to contender in one offseason. Brees isnt walking through that door. Have to build talent, which this team is sorely lacking ATM.

He may put up better numbers than he did with the Broncos but maybe not since our qb will not be as good.
I hope we getting a 3rd rounder for Adebo since that’s what the equivalent of about what we gave up if our season turns out like most think it will…..
