Saints @ Ravens getting flexed to SNF? (Nope, CIN/KC flexed to SNF week 7)

Victor Howell just said on Saints Tonight that there are rumors about a flex involving the Saints/Ravens game in 2 weeks
I didn't know the flex was available this early in the season (week 7)
The Saints/Ravens game is already set for a 3:05 kickoff... can't go any later except to SNF
ETA: nevermind... just read the window to flex games to SNF officially started this week (week 5)
Tuesday update: Bengals @ Chiefs flexed to SNF for week 7

I think it can "flex" to 3:25, which would make it game 2 of a double header on one of the networks (whoever had the "late game of the week" that week).
With it being Brees' last team to beat + the game where he enters the 500 club, I could see it happening.
Edit:
Well that's interesting. I thought it was later in the season but they have been pushing to move it up so they don't have to wait so late to keep from having "crappy" SNF games earlier in the year.

I heard that too. I think that the Saints are still one of the TV draws even though they are in a small market. Brees getting 500tds, trying to beat the Ravens to finish off a win against every team, and the Saints being in first in the NFCS and 2nd in the NFC make it compelling to flex it.

so the "flex to SNF" actually started this week (week 5)
the current week 7 match-up is Rams @ 49ers
I guess SF has lost a bit of luster with Jimmy G going down... and Brees going for 500 TDs & it being the final team he needs to beat to have defeated all 32 NFL clubs
would be enticing

Yeah if SF is involved they'll flex out of that quick. Bethard is doing surprisingly well, but no one really cares.

key piece of this that shouldn't be lost is the current scheduled week 7 SNF game
Rams @ 49ers is currently set for SNF in week 7

Niners are already on MNF this coming week

NBC is only allowed to flex 2 games between weeks 5-10
so if they do decide to flex the Saints/Ravens game... that would be 1 of the 2

and we'll know tomorrow if Howell is correct
except for week 17... all flexes are announced at least 12 days in advance

Ah so that's the tradeoff for the earlier flexing. It'd be worth it.
With how much pumping they did tonight they know they can pump up the 500 td club thing and his completion of beating every team (would be the first ever, right?). Hot team coming off a bye, etc.

believe Peyton Manning also beat all 32 teams

Well let's see.
Week 6: kc vs ne
Week 7: LA rams vs sf
Week 8: nola vs minny
Week 9: gb vs ne
Week 10: Dallas vs philly
They should flex week 7. Maybe week 8 if Minnesota sucks it up and gb rolls (gb vs rams)

I didn't even think of that... Saints potentially in primetime 3 of 4 weeks & 3 straight games
week 5 MNF
week 6 Bye
week 7 SNF (if flexed)
week 8 SNF(already scheduled)

Yeah he did, as did Favre.
Other QBs close to it include:
Kerry Collins- Dolphins (retired)
Brady- Pats (likely to never happen)
Rodgers- Packers (likely to never happen)
Roethlisberger- Steelers (likely to never happen)
Fun fact: Besides the Falcons, there are only two other teams Ryan has yet to beat. One is the Steelers and the other is 28-3.

I don't believe the week 5 game was flexed, and if they have two do overs left out of these, the OBVIOUS one is Rams vs. 9ers.
They aren't going to flex out of Rodgers vs. Brady (likely last time ever) or Dal/Philly.
With how hot KC is, and Brady on the other side, that one is going nowhere.
So IF they choose a second to flex out of, it'd be us vs. Minny, but I think it stays if only to rub our faces in the Minny Miracle a thousand times during the game.

that could end up being a playoff preview and NBC knows it... they won't flex out NO @ MIN
ETA: Dallas vs. Philly could be an option... those 2 teams are kinda under-performing currently... though I doubt NBC wants to lose a game involving those 2 media markets

Yeah I only see them flexing out of LAR/SF. The other scheduled games are solid and I don't think other games they could flex in are big enough to take any out.
If JG didn't go down you could say they picked their games VERY well so far.

NFL rules say the teams can only be in primetime games six times per season. We have five this season, so one more will be our limit.
Looking at the schedule, other than Baltimore, options could be:
- We play the Rams on the 4th, but Fox no doubt will be protecting thst game (original game: Packers vs. Patriots)
- @ Bengals 11/11 (original game: Cowboys vs. Eagles)
- December 9th @ Tampa Bay (original game: Steelers vs. Raiders)
December 23rd vs. Pittsburgh (original game: Chiefs vs. Seahawks). CBS may protect this game
Other games are the Eagles, but that game is ineligible, due to us playing a Thursday game four days later. And this season finale versus the Panthers, but that game is also ineligible as one division game must be on your conference’s parent network, and we play the Panthers on ESPN in the first game, so Fox gets this game

Well, the Saints and Ravens are both top 5 teams IMO...why would you not flex that, rather than watch the Rams blow out the 9ers
Posted on 10/9/18 at 8:08 am to lsutigersFTW
Pretty clear from the games you listed the Saints/Ravens game is THE game to flex.
