CONTRACT ITEMS:
- How much will Drew Brees cost ?
- How many years for the contract ?
- Mark Ingram.... do we trade Ingram ?
- Vacarro..do we pay $ 8,000,000 a year to re-sign ?
- Time to let go of Fleener ?
DRAFT & FREE AGENCY NEEDS:
Draft WR (Speedster)
Draft Tight End (Pass Catcher)
Draft LB
Draft Penetrating DL
Draft OT and OG in late rounds
Free Agent WR
Free Agent LB
Free Agent OT for depth
**** QB: don’t waste any Draft pick or FA $ on a player not deemed to be the future. Go through training camp seeing what Taysom Hill is about. If he is not long term answer and Brees is signed for more than a 1 yr contract..... then skip this draft and FA per QB and get one the following year.

Ingram is not a F/A he had to be All-Pro to be a F/A.

I would love it if we drafted Mark Andrews TE out of Oklahoma. Dude is an awesome pass catcher for a TE.

Same thing I said last time we were here. If Drew Brees wants to win a Super Bowl once more, he should have it in him to not demand an outrageous contract that hamstrings our ability to support him. I don't know the numbers on contracts - it's not a care I have - but, if the argument is $10 or $15 or $20 million, I mean what the frick ever. If his final years are to collect money, screw it. We cannot win a Super Bowl in the next couple years without him, but we cannot win it or in the next decade if we pay him too much. He has to understand this...he has made over $100 million...he's not hurting.

Thanks. I don't keep up with this stuff. They got more intelligent folks who do the business side. I just want them to do well and I feel like the QBs who have taken a little less always got rewarded. I mean, the difference between cutting to $20 million from $30 gets you a lot of goodies.

Yeah. I'm not happy with that mock at all. Would rather Edmunds 1st round.
Maybe a TE in the second or 3rd depending on how the first round plays out and who's available. Really like that kid out of South Dakota state.
Don't see too many studs at DB this year that will be available to us in the draft. Maybe hit up FA with DBs and WRs?

Drew has to sign for no more than 25 million but hopefully a lot less. If he demands more than he is putting his selfish self above the team needs and really doesn't want to win a SB here. We have plenty other needs and need to pay other players.

It will be important to resign Okafor. He was playing fine and there are bigger needs on D. We need better safety production and a badass, athletic LB. we can get both in the draft.
