Win or lose let him play and gain experience. Also time to cut loose all the older vets and go into rebuild mode. Get younger, faster, and players wanting to earn bigger contracts. Get out of the cap hell that's coming due. Stop kicking the can down the road.

Easier said than done. This offseason is going to really piss off a lot of people because they need to kick the can down the road just to get under the cap. When you are already $80-95M over the projected cap, these bloated contracts on aging vets need to be kicked down the road.
Looking at OTC:
Cutting Cam increases his cap hit by $4M
Cutting Demario increases his cap hit by $4.7M
Cutting Tyrann increases his cap hit by $1M
Cutting Taysom decreases his cap hit by $300k
Cutting Carr decreases his cap hit by $1.3M
This is only looking at the over 30 players with large contract, and this does not take into account the cap implications of Ram's potential retirement.

Got to bite he bullet now. Free up those salaries for younger, cheaper, and more hungry players. Status quo isnt working

That's the problem. They can't. They have to be under the cap by a certain date in March or the league has the authority to step in and adjust the contracts/rosters until you meet the cap limits. When you are that much in a hole, you have to adjust/extend players with sizeable contracts, which would include many of these aging vets. It will need to be a concerted effort over a few years where they strategically dump specific contracts each year while adjusting the others.

But by all means let’s add a declining, expensive , 32 year old wr to the mix.

His current contract has little to no guaranteed/dead money for the Saints next season, as I understand it.
