Well, at least we know how to spell his damn name...it's not very hard.

Give it up with the injury thing. Yea, he was a little hurt but it's weird that he played every preseason game his rookie season. And also, if he was hurt why didn't he study the playbook? He still lines up wrong and still doesn't know plays. It's 24 games into his career and he has 8 catches.

Because time and time again they break the huddle and he has no idea where to line up. Until his dumb arse learns the playbook he is a liability

You really wrote that.......he's a liability. Please explain this to me.

Cut Meach today and see how many other teams think he's a bust.

Yea, PLAYED as in dressed out in 8 games. However, he's been in the league for 2 years, hence 24 games. Say what you want but I don't care if he was "hurt" his rookie season. They drafted him knowing he had injury problems then he played every preseason game and then never dressed out. I'm not saying he's a bust but how can you not be disappointed in him so far?

I wouldn't be throwing out Jarrett or Syd Rice.

Meachem has 8 catches for 244 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Rice has 35 catches for 441 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Jarrett has 12 catches for 151 yards and 0 touchdowns.

I think the comparison is a fair one. And remember that Meachem has Brees where Rice has T. Jackson and G. Frerott and Jarrett is playing behind S. Smith and M. Muhammad and had David Carr, Vinny Testaverde and the Mighty Matt Moore.
Not to mention that the other receivers mentioned earlier are doing way better as the two you picked out are the worst of that bunch, but still doing better than Meachem.

I wanted the Linebacker Paul Posluszny, Tight Ends Greg Olsen, Zach Miller, corner back Eric Wright or offensive lineman Joe Staley. But hey what do I know???

After Meachem was picked and I saw Rice still on the board I did have a WTF moment. Rice was good for a few years while Meachem was more of a flash in the pan where Rice had back to back 70 catch seasons with double coverage his second year. He also didn't look as fragile as Meachem.

Here's hoping that Meachem can pull it together and contribute in the coming years.

Didn't Kansas City select Dwayne Bowe right before we drafted Meachem? I was hoping that we'd get Greg Olsen or Zach Miller.

Bowe was picked at 23rd and Meachem at 27. I think everyone wanted Olsen or Pausluzki. (More people wanted Olsen because of injury concerns with PP if I remember correctly).

yeah, I just didn't fell like spelling his name again. He was doing really good last year with 26 tackles in 3 games when he got hurt and was out for the season. This year he has 57 tackles, one forced fumble and four pass deflections in 8 games.

The more and more I look at other draft picks we passed on in 2007 the more and more depressed I get and think we messed up big time.

He's had a better career than Buster Davis.

Actually, both of them.

Meachem has 8 catches for 244 yards and 2 touchdowns was inactive for a whole year due to injury and whatever else.

Davis has 24 catches for 247 yards and 1 touchdown. He's been inactive for four games this season due to minor injuries and is not likely to be re activated unless there are injuries to other WRs.

The other Buster Davis is a 5'9" linebacker, but still probably better than Shanle.

I'd call it a push.

meach will be okay. he is still tall and fast. you can teach him to line up right, not to run faster. give him some more time
