He is having a good year but lets see if he can stay healthy and put up the same numbers next year before removing him off the bust list

If i had to guess what Brees would do it would be- say sayonara sucker to Reggie and get Loomis to sign Sproles.

Oh wait...

He may have had an injury, but he played in every game.

He had 232 rushing yards and 0 TD's, 97 receiving yards 1 TD, through 7 games. Slow start but finished strong.

And as far as the injuries go, the only reason he got injured so often for the Saints is because he wasn't seeing as much action as he should have been.

wait what? am i reading this right?

you act like reggie was laying in a bed on the sidelines all season sleeping and we woke him up occasionally to run the ball without any warmups

Maybe if he didnt run a total of 20 yards a carry left and right for no gain forward he would have lasted longer....

But, here's how I define somebody who is a disappointment considering all of the hype that he got . . . in my world, that's a BUST.

JaMarcus Russell is a bust. No way Reggie Bush is on that level of awfulness.

Turn on the tape....how many negative plays is he getting to every 1 big play. And how is the stutter-stepping move? Still there?

I for one am so happy to see little to no negative plays and all 1 cut and go north south. Even though the numbers may seem up there for Reggie, Sproles is an absolute beast. The tape doesn't lie.

I don't think the terms were ever released for the Bush trade. Wonder if his performance ties into a pick.

So I posted this Topic around lunch and haven't visited the board until now.

I just want to say that I agree with a ton of posts on this topic, and on differing opinions.

But I need to point out that I NEVER ONCE compared Reggie to Sproles. There is no comparison. Sproles is an absolute beast and there is no reason to even compare the two because Sproles takes the cake, and ice cream for that matter.

All I wanted to do was say that I respect what Bush is doing and I like that he is a former Saint. End of story.

Now let's go win a Super Bowl!

Hahahahah wow I just got back from a rehearsal dinner for a wedding with an open bar. Forgive me, please.

I fixed it though.

Good luck to Reggie but I wasn't sad to see him go.

He was a great decoy but spent way too much time and energy running from sideline to sideline.

Injuring himself while recovering his own fumble was the final nail in the coffin.

none of his injuries really fit this hypothesis

Reggie has and will continue to change physically as a full time RB. Just look at him. Bigger and more rugged physical player this year. IMO.

This was my point with the injury thing, it's only natural for you to become more physical and stable the longer you have the load on your back. As opposed to to Payton deciding to throw a short route out of the backfield once per 4 downs and maybe a halfback draw every now and then.
