Thanks, I couldnt remeber if it was a snap or a series. But, like i said i cant imagine Payton changing his thinking since it didnt hurt us in the playoffs.

Im pretty sure Payton will treat it like the 4 preseason game. The only way im a lil skeptical that he may change it a lil just for the fact we havent been playing well (but there is no way they risk Brees)

we were coming off one of the best games of the year vs NYG in 06

as opposed to one of our worst games of the year in 09 vs TB

i can easily see him changing his train of thought

I doubt they will, but i know there is a bad taste n their mouth. And I highly doubt Brees will be out their knowing Peppers is on the other side of the ball. Hamilton will get the majority of the carries. With maybe Bell relieving him some. Bush/ Pierre - cant imagine playing. I doubt Colston will get more than a series. Shockey will rest. I dont think they will mess with o-line to much (amybe a few changes at half).

On defense..I doubt any of these players will play more than a series: Shanle (needs to get healthy), Sharper (bum knee), Vilma (just so they dont risk injury), Will Smith (see Vilma), Ellis (banged up). I doubt Porter will play more than a half.

IMO

Greer should get a good amount of reps to get into game shape.

Here's the thing with claiming we should play it like a pre-season game. We have like what 70 players active in a pre-season game. We have only 53 men on the roster and 45 active (if i remember correctly) for a regular season game. Can't drop anyone OFF our roster, so starters will have to play some unless we want our backups playing every down, which is REALLY risking injury to our depth.

I do think starters should play, but would you rather have injury to our depth or to our starters?

I just meant those saying to straight sit completely most of our starters.

This team has NO rhythm right now. Need to get past it.

Some guys will have to play but the guys i named wont and some will b inactive like Pierre, maybe Sharper, Shanle, Shockey.

Harper, Fujita, Grant, Ayodele, Oline, Meachem, Henderson will play a good amount. Unless forced onto the field due to backups getting hurt, most significant /banged up players wont go.

I would be shocked otherwise

Colts are planning to play EVERYONE for the first half according to their coach today. I think that is honestly the best way to do it.

Saints need to regain their rhythm going into the bye week. If you don't, it's a crap-shoot as to whether they'll come out hot or flat. Greer needs game time if he's good to go as well. Running him out in the playoff game with no time back is a big mistake, especially for a CB. Same goes for Ellis, Gay, and Shockey if they physically can go.

Play Brees for 1 qtr.
Play Brunell with the starters for the second quarter.
Pull all starters by half time.
