Thoughts:

In division the Panthers definitely have an easier road than the Falcons (which is why I was pulling for the Falcons that game but frick em). As long as we take care of business that alone would put the Falcons out.

Panthers beating the Rams wouldn't be the end of the world (helps in the 1/2 seed races), but the Rams have a tougher schedule so we should definitely be pulling for the Rams that game.

Eagles have a fairly easy go, so we'd be relying on the Cowboys to beat them twice as well as the Seahawks. Don't know if we'd pull for the Rams over them yet but we may have to.

Vikings/Rams and Vikings/Panthers are really tough call. We probably pull Rams this week and Vikings over Panthers, but they all help and hurt. I think we may pull for the Falcons to beat them, as they don't have any tough games after that.

There are many forced losses that will help us either way, but they need to fall right to maximize it.

Most important thing: we keep winning. Nothing is a given at this point.

The Falcons are about to be in for a brutal stretch

Their last 5 games have us twice, the vikings and then the panthers again

As are the Rams. 5 of the next 6 against winning teams, Cards 1 game under .500, and all 3 other division leaders over the next 4 weeks.

3 of those games are toss ups in who to root for too. We'd like them to beat the Vikings and Eagles, but then we'd have to hope they lose mostly all the others.

And we'll likely need them to beat the Vikings and Panthers to boot. On the flipside if they lose those two they are basically done.

Alot of games like that coming up. One way helps our standing while the other way helps finish a team off.

Edit:
Also realize how stupid I was not putting @ for away games now.

Edit2:
After doing that the Eagles schedule looks much tougher. 2 road west coast games in a row against two tough teams.

Actually want to see that Rams/Eagles game.

Both him and Sherman out (and Thomas getting hurt a lot the last few years)? Yikes.

Updated the op. I'll keep it updated throughout the season and start adding other stats (like remaining SoS and such).

I'll take requests for stuff to add also.

Also noticed I had only one error (before updating) in the whole post and that was listing the Redskins as 4-6 on the Giants list for the upcoming game. Prophetic? Eh.

Russel Wilson broke his jaw in the last game and had an all liquid diet this week. The report said doctors set it and he'll play tomorrow.

Reminds me of Rickey Jackson's only missed game when he drove under a big rig, missed a week and played the rest of the year with a special face mask.

next 3 weeks are absolutely CRITICAL for the Saints

if we get through the Rams, Panthers, Falcons at 3 losses or less

then we can get to a Jets team that fought well for most of the season but should then be in spring vacation mode...

a Falcon team in the Superdome whose season may have just been given its end date...

then a Bucs team that will definitely have its bags packed and ready for winter break

BUT... that Panther game in 2 weeks... win or lose to LAR... is absolutely monumental

a win over CAR in 2 weeks would essentially give the Saints a 2 or 3 game lead in the division (depending on week 12 results) thanks to holding the head-to-head tiebreaker

Updated after the Monday night game. One of those good news bad news type games where the outcome helps one way but hurts another.

But looking at who the Falcons have left, they'll be hard pressed to make the playoffs much less win the division. It'd be great if they beat the Vikes though.

I think we beat the rams this week. I just dont want them losing to Atlanta.

ATL and LAR have horrible schedules to end the season.

Not much we right this week (or the last two weeks for that matter). We lost and both Atl and Car won, leaving the South way closer than what it should be.

At this point we should be pulling for Atl to lose against the Vikes because we are at a critical point in the division race.

You realize a team can’t “win” the NFC in the regular season right?

We beat the Panthers, Jets and Buccs and split the Falcons we finish the season 12-4 win the division and make the playoffs.

Very doable.

Crackhead back and gold glasses:

Rams lose to the eagles, vikings lose to both Falcons and Panthers, we win out, we get the two seed, right?

Eagles have a cake walk. The Vikings are playing the best all around football in the NFL right now. Our best hope is winning the South.
