I noticed that Kamara tends to run out of bounds early relative to other larger backs when near sideline and approaching defenders. Is this common among backs his size and is it generally coached by the staff to make those decisions rather than get hurt (vs. an Ingram who is heavier)

I know I know. Accidentally submitted without content, fixed less than a minute later, and already had four comments.

But back to the question: can anyone give me insight into Kamara's running out of bounds. Seems like he often misses out on an extra 1-2 yards and not sure if that is a common practice among backs his size.

He's not stupid that's why. He took a lot of hits grinding for extra yards his rookie year, I'm guessing he was coached up on how to handle those situations better.

last year he didn't really do that, he would jump over someone instead. My guess is he was told to protect himself
