I would not be surprised if Cam hung up the cleats. His last 10 games of the season were down right awful. 13 tackles, 1 sack and 1 PD. He and Von if they came back would be the old lions at 14 years in.

i said they will use the culture excuse, as a reason to not resign him, but they are really getting rid of him because he cannot pressure QBs any more. any other year they would resign him and let him ride the bench as a reward for past services, but they dont have the extra cap room to do those things now.
even DA figured out he couldnt play any more, and they take him off the field on pass plays so they can replace him with someone who can pressure the QB

Cam has said he is retiring as a Saint and not playing anywhere else. He said he plans to play next year if the Saints will have him.
I think his cap hit is so large this year it doesn’t make sense to cut him to sign someone else because it doesn’t really free up a bunch of money.
Basically, Cam will retire or he will be back and be a situational player.

Didn't he say he basically played all year on a bum ankle? His pff score was still solid, so hopefully the drop was ankle related and not age
