By virtue of an incorrect ruling.

But that isn't even my point. People saying the call should stand simply because they believe he would have broken it anyway is silly. If you want to argue that is was a forward pass, although evidence shows otherwise, go ahead.

But do not say it should stand simply b/c you THINK he would have. Statistics are not assumed.
