Pete was just not meant to be a playcaller. Deep down, I think he knew that.

Some assistants want to move up, eventually be playcallers, and eventually he head coaches. Some guys just want to be position coaches their entire lives.

Pete was a good OC under SP because SP was the playcaller. Pete could focus on helping design plays, running practice sessions, and working with the QBs, beause he didn't have the pressure of being the playcaller.

Pete will end up with another OC job with a HC who is the playcaller. It's what he is good at, and what he did well. And some team out there will need that.

i think this is a very fair statement about him

remember, he didnt want this job, he said that openly, they forced him to keep doing it to help DA
