These are players that showed wear towards the end of the year. If you think they're not going to make it through another unless their snaps decrease, then you have to cut bait with their contracts.

Calm down, guys.
Enough speculation.

Let me talk to Mickey.
I am the Brees DATTY winner, after all.

And we need it too.

Our offense has been great still. But a lot of that is due to Brees and Payton. A lot of our top weapons are 1 dimensional type players. And when they are in the game, opponents know what to expect. Our O has become kinda predictable. Sproles in the game.... its a pass over 70% of the time and hes gonna run a screen, bubble, or an out and up with a LB on him. Grahams in the game... its a pass over 70% of the time as well. Teams know our tendencies, and knowing if its a run or pass based on personnel makes it easier. Still hard to stop though. Dont get me wrong there. But when you play a good D like the Seahawks, Carolina, Rams, and the Jets it gives them an edge.

I like what were doing. It had to be done eventually. You only have so many years left with Brees. We need to get him some young, athletic weapons that can win the 1v1 battle and make plays for us. Not older guys that have lost a step or 2 and cant make the plays that they used to. It sucks because we are letting go of guys that have been been here for a while and were huge to our success. But you cant keep them forever.

He HAS to have some trade value.
That's what I'm thinking. If no other team will trade for him, I would like to see the Saints hold on to him for one more season.

How much do we save by releasing him and Moore?

With Ingram and Robinson I think it's safe to cut/trade Sproles AND PT. Draft Archer or DAT or sign McCluster for the Sproles role if Cadet can't do it.

Love Sproles. Obvious he lost a step. We'll prob draft a RB late rounds.
