If by great city, you mean smells like piss and vomit then you are correct.

Then why did Jerry Jones make the announcement of the game, and Mr. Benson wasn't even present?

Say what you will about Shreveport, I think it's moving forward faster and better than any other city in the state.

And the ratio of fans is 50-50. I rarely hear any comments or callers for the 'Boys on our morning sports talk show. It's always LSU and Saints.

Shreveport is actually one of the shittiest towns for its size that I've spent time in. Most LSU fans there have never even seen the university.

Unless they're talking about how much money the STATE will get from natural gas bonuses/royalties. Then we are part of Louisiana...

Everything....the people, food, and lack of any significant Louisiana culture. What are some of the similarities that Shreveport has with Lafayette, NOLA, or Baton Rouge?

I wasn't aware that you have to be along the I-10 corridor to be a part of this state.

Aside from the greatness that is LSU, Baton Rouge is pretty sorry itself. At least we don't have to look through the pollution caused haze to see the sun rise. There's nothing in Baton Rouge(not counting LSU) that makes it better than Shreveport.

So is Monroe now considered West Mississippi? What state does Alexandria belong to?

When your local schools, teachers, police, fire departments, and social welfare programs get a bump in state funding in the next year, you'll be glad Shreveport is a Louisiana city.

Yeah, Monroe belongs to the Mississippi delta region, and Alexandria belongs to MS as well. The I-10/I-12 corridor is the economic nucleus of this state...that's the way it has been and always will be.

No they didn't the dome wasn't ready. In 2006, the Saints didn't play any preaseason games in the dome, and didn't play their first regular season game at home until week 3 against Atlanta (what a game that was). But any Louisiana native who was born after 1967 should be a Saints fan, IMHO.

No doubt. I'm more specifically referring to things such as THIS, however. With more to come.

Calling the I-10 corridor the CULTURAL center of Louisiana is obviously correct. But economic? Ehhhh, its not that dominant.
