My thoughts exactly...and I hate equating one teams success to success against a different opponent but it's hard to ignore what Alex Smith and a rookie running back did to them and not chomp at the bit. I thought their best offensive weapon would be Kelce. 16-36 0 TDs for Brady??? Eric Berry is a stud but he had Gronk frustrated all night. If it wasn't for multiple pass interference calls against #39 I don't think the Patriots get some of the field position they got. They failed on 4th and short twice. I love our chances. We just need to get through the Minnesota game healthy.

They were definitely having trouble with KC's speed.

It's one game, but holy hell they looked terrible, and I'm excited.

Its the Patriots. They have 10 days

I'm actually MORE worried now.

Well, they would have had ten days to prepare wither wat. Doesn't matter if a team is mad if they just don't have a good ebough tem. That defense was Saints bad

In 2014 (won the SB that season) the Chiefs beat them 41-14. The following week they crushed Cincy 43-17.

We definitely have a shot of beating them but this game doesn't mean all that much.

They've had all offseason to prepare for the Chiefs.

Last night, the last two drives (really 3rd and 2nd to last, but the final drive KC took a bunch of knees), down a score, the Pats let Hunt bust a 50+ yard run, then West a 20+ yard TD run, then Brady got sacked 3(!) straight plays. When has a Pats team botched a 4th quarter crunch time scenario like that in the last 15 years?

They are still good, and it won't be easy, but the Pats look like far from world beaters.

The problem is your are making that assumption after just one game. We dont know how good or bad they will be and a 1 gane sample size is not enough to convince me. Not against this team especially

They have 10 days to rest but they do not have 10 days to prepare. They have an idea of what we will try to do on offense and defense but they have no film on Kamara outside of a few plays in preseason. They have no film on AP in our backfield. There is not any actual film of what we will try and do offensively this year other than their best guess.

They have limited film on the tendencies of our LBs and none as a starting unit. There is limited game film on PJ, Lattimore and Williams. We have seen the Pats play a game. They will not see us play until Monday night. Yes, we will have less rest but in terms of game planning and prep, I can guarantee that our low level quality control guys are already breaking down the Pats tape from last night and I would think that most players watched the game. If there were ever a week to play the Pats at home on short rest after a road MNF appearance, it's this one.
