I go early. Park by Peche. Then I eat and drink in a few stops on the walk to the dome.
On the way back I may eat and get some water.. by the time I get to my car it's easy to just pop onto the interstate.

Ride Airline/Tulane to S Galvez, right on S Galvez down to poydras. Bunch of free parking there. Been parking there for 25 years. A little walk but when you leave, you slip back out the same way you came. Easy interstate access
