Yeah. Instead they will post passive aggressive shite like this:

quote:

Rise up and tide saint are so much alabama homers they would prefer the Saints to make a mistake on a draft pick just to take a homer alababama player.... Keep calling them out...they will continue to lose credibility...

Like Rise or I give one frick where a kid played college ball as long as the Saints win.

ETA: My favorite baseball player of all time, Frank Thomas, played for Auburn. I could care less where he played in college.

I'm glad the Saints took Rueban Foster off our board.
With the addition of Butler the smart pick at 11 is a pass rushing DE. (Thomas/Barnett)
We don't need a LB at 11, especially a dumb one.

Don't care how he spells his name....he's not on our board!
His lack of intelligence, including on the football field is common knowledge...
Saints do not want him.

You're welcome...
You never know what the Saints will do in the draft, but I would bet we don't take Foster at 11.
I've been a Saints fan for many years...it's common for real Saints fans to use terms like our and we etc.

Absolutely true.

Possibly. He may be off the board at that point anyway. He's getting mocked to the Bengals at #9 in more than one place.

My issue was not with you using "our or we." I do it as well.

My issue was with your absolute confidence that the Saints had taken Foster off the board. You don't know that for fact and I don't know for a fact that they didn't.

It's conjecture at this point on both of our parts so why don't we try to stay away from speaking in absolutes? Deal?

That's understandable. But I hope you don't hold it against him in case we do draft him.

Same here. I want Barnett or Taco. Maybe even Hooker if he's still there which is extremely unlikely.

Funny this is you call out Rise and TideSaint Bama homers but like 95% of the Saints fans in the Saints sub-Reddit are madly in love with Foster. So there exists a place where non-Bama fans defend Foster just as much as anyone on here.

Foster was dropped by the saints after his interview. So he is off of our board. Cincy, Oakland, Houston, would be perfect for RF...

So this was posted by an Alabama fan on the SEC rant.....
I would never go toe to toe against you Bama homers , because I appreciate your knowledge and allegiance to alabama sports...
I am a proud LSU homer!
I was wondering what your thoughts were about this Alabama fans rankings?

Averaging the rank in each of the Big 3 rankings

Football, Basketball, Baseball, Average

1. LSU (2, 4, 1, 2.3)
2. Florida (5, 3, 3, 3.7)
3. Arkansas (8, 2, 6, 5.3)
4. Alabama (1, 6, 10, 5.7)
5. Georgia (4, 9, 7, 6.7)
5. Missouri (10, 5, 5, 6.7)
7. Mississippi State (11, 8, 4, 7.7)

If I recall correctly the criteria for each "ranking" was based on a point system that Rant members collaborated on one day. I didn't participate so I can't lend credence to their formula, but I do know Alabama is in the Top 3 for wins in all three sports.

Now, does it have validity using their formula? I guess so, but I do know that there aren't 9 other SEC teams that have a better baseball history than Alabama.

I chalk it up to just another offseason discussion thread. Nothing more, nothing less.

He took baseball out of the equation and the outcome was....
1) LSU
2) alabama

Again, I'm not privy to the formula, but if we are just talking football and basketball I don't see how LSU would be above Alabama.

In football Alabama has at least 10 more national championships than LSU (depends on what polls you use) and 15 more SEC championships.

In basketball neither team has a national title. LSU has eleven regular season conference titles to Alabama's eight, but Alabama also has six conference tournament titles compared to LSU's one.

Now, based on national and conference championships alone, would you say his results may be a little off?

ETA: I'll even add wins to the equation, both total and head to head.

Alabama holds an 106-71 head to head advantage over LSU in basketball.

All-time wins:

quote:

Alabama Record: 1639-1015-1 .617 W-L%

quote:

LSU Record: 1516-1164 .566 W-L%
