I think we can also determine Carolina at New Orleans Week 17 since it has to be a division game and the Falcons and Bucs play week 17.

So you are saying that the NFL could schedule a game on September 23 if they want, the day after Taylor Swift, and the Dome would have to ask Live Nation to move the concert. This would be breach of contract for the building and cost them lots of money and also screw up the entire tour schedule.

The building is absolutely allowed to hold certain dates back from the NFL to use.

the Saints are the primary tenant... if the NFL wants a date they'll get it

I'm sure that's set up way in advance

Saints at Carolina right

Saints at Carolina is Week 15, so Week 17 would have to be at home.

How about three weeks in a row on the road? Talk about getting the shaft from the shield...

I thought there was a concerted effort not to schedule 3 road games late in the season.

I didn't even notice that

and I was thinking at Atlanta week 16 due to the NFL's love of wanting to backload the schedule with division games

if my thought process proves true... that would make 4 straight road games at the end of the year... would also make Thanksgiving night the last home game before week 17

That won't happen.

#NFL schedule makers work their magic to build a balanced schedule for all teams, including yours. Impossible to keep everyone happy. '18 sked has only three 3-game road trips (last year there were 7). No team plays away game following a road MNF game (last year 5 times).

At Bucs in Week 16 would make more sense and a home game in Week 14. I don't think you're allowed to have three in a row on the road.
