Man I hope we resign Colston, one of my favorite players. He came back pretty quick from the collarbone injury. He has been so consistent throughout his career, I think it would be a mistake to let him walk.

I love him too but it's all about the team. The team is constrained by a cap. Successful cap management requires some hard decisions. I hope they can fit him in. Ya know Drew will be going to bat for him. With big numbers for Drew and Nicks it just may not be possible. My guess is something like Brandon Marshall- 5yr/$47mil, $12.5 guaranteed. For that same range would you could get a defensive stud. What about a younger and healthier Dwayne Bowe that will be on the market?

I would guess he would want a big deal like Colston does

I know. He has plenty of leverage to get a big deal. He's lead the team in receiving four out of the six seasons that he has been here.

His career total numbers:

449 receptions for 6,240 yards and 48 TD's.

Again, I'm all for him but prepared to accept him moving on too. He's gonna be 29. He's had at least 5 knee surgeries including microfracture. He had the collarbone break this year. There's been other dings as well.
