Not Worth Watching Anymore

I have watched the Saints since John Gilliam's 1967 opening day kick off return for a touchdown. Being a Saints fan has given me great joy over the years.
Dennis Allen has finally crushed that joy. I am done watching defensive players fail to use their arms to tackle. Everyone on my 9th grade football team knew to wrap up. How does an NFL coach tolerate the same "technique" shown by Alontae Taylor? What would Taylor have said to an actual coach: "I don't know how he kept running, I DID hit him pretty hard shoulder to shoulder"???
Also, maybe he protested and it wasn't shown, but Allen should have ripped the officials for not calling targeting on the play that concussed Olave. If he doesn't care about the players, why should I?

I agree about 1 thing. Allen has taken any enthusiasm out of the organization. Losing consistently does that. There is definitely apathy right now. I don’t see how this season gets turned around.

For me, it's not just the losing. Like many people, as a Saints fan from the beginning, I have maintained my enthusiasm through long droughts of not winning. It's the WAY the Saints lose and the repetition of the same mistakes that have finally done it for me.
GREAT fun over the many decades. Cheers

DA and coaches like him are the Washington Generals and select NFL franchises are the Harlem Globetrotters.
DA will not stand up for player safety during games because he is simply controlled opposition and knows his place in the pecking order.
The players know DA is simply an NFL company man and truly have no respect for him.
Player safety should be tantamount regardless of NFL storylines. DA, at the very least, needs to stand up and protect his players.

Thank you. That sums up my feeling about the NFL and also-ran franchises such as the Saints.
The crippling "bounty gate" penalties and the no call on PI AND targeting during the NFC championship game convinced me of that. I got the same feeling when the announcers didn't even mention the possibility of targeting yesterday. If it had been a Chiefs receiver, the helmet to helmet hit would have been considered a felony.

Where do you come up with this?
