By all indications, Coleman is the 4 right now and Carr is the 5, but nobody talks about him like he is a viable option.

I'm sure Payton kept him around for a reason--either that he was too good to give up, or that he knew he wouldn't make it to the practice squad.

Will he make the 53 this year? I say yes.

No way he beats out Coleman, and TL offers at least something in the special teams role. I'd be surprised if Carr made the 53-man.

Ginn can return punts, and they probably won't be relying on him to be the WR2.

Kick returns are almost irrelevant, and Kamara's pretty good at them anyway.

As it stands now (pre draft), Carr is 1 of the 5 WRs we keep (Thomas, Ginn, Meridith, Coleman and Carr).

I'm predicting a WR taken in round 1 (Moore, Ridley, or Kirk) or Rd 3 (Miller or Pettit).

Post draft, I still think he makes the team, he is going to take Sneads' role. May keep 6, or Coleman could be odd man out.

He is what he is. He's a developmental WR that CSP stashed on the roster (so he could develop him without the interruption of getting poached). I think most people are just waiting to see what CSP's final evaluation of him is.

B/c he's never given us a reason to think so. I have a feeling that we'll have a very good idea after pre-season.

he doesn't even have a career reception to his stat line yet. Maybe you can slow your roll ever so slightly.

If he can manage 8 catches this year he can replace the drunk we just lost

or he has to produce 141 receptions and 1879 yards over his first two seasons to replace the drunk we just lost.

Patriots produce 6 foot, white, wrs. It's what they do. If they didn't see the potential for him then I don't think it's going to happen.

*** So to answer your question. No, I do not take Carr seriously.

Funny how when you trash Cam M you use his injured year but you use the past to defend drunk boy. I like how you slant it

Not slanting anything, few of you fans have turned into a bitch against a player who did a lot for us over 2 years.

Look there is a reason that through last year we kept him on the 53. After all the moves and cuts we made all year he was never one of them even though he didnt play. The Saints obviously have faith that this kid will be something and didnt want to chance losing him by putting him on PS or cutting him. So all the doubters will soon be silenced. I expect this kid to shine in the preseason like he did in N.E. and make the roster.

So we know Thomas, Ginn and Meredith are making the 53. We obviously plan on drafting a WR since we have been shopping more WRs for the draft than any other posistion (We have met with 9). So thats a roster spot. So that's 4 roster spots plus we have Tommy Lee, Carr and Coleman. I think only one of those 3 make the roster. I'm willing to bet its Carr. Just my opinion.

Nobody seems to take Mike Haas seriously
Nobody seems to take Jake Lampman seriously
Nobody seems to take Andy Tanner seriously

The only thing some idiot Saints fans want more than a LSU player is a small, white WR.
