I thought Terron was our 2nd best lineman last year & on the upswing. Obviously if Peat is a pro bowl LT he is a good pick. I am just in win now mode due to Drew Brees age.

Agree.
I wonder if Collins was going to be the pick initially before the recent news arose. He made sense in every respect. He's a versatile lineman who could slide inside or outside and thereby address whatever weakness arose on the line (except for center)

Uh because we needed guard and still do for depth. And Collins is projected as more of a guard I think as they think Scherff will play there too perhaps.

I think the only way this is looked on successfully is if Amsted and Peat are your day 1 starters at T. Then you really only have LG to shore up and I think we have to draft a guy to compete with Lelito there. Strief may still have some tread left but I don't see him lasting much longer.
An o-line of
Peat/Armstead
Lelito/Someone
Unger
Evans
Peat/Armstead
is a much younger, more athletic line than we've had since 2011.

if he was the best LT in the draft, why was NO ONE on here talking about him, but instead Scherff and Collins?
Flowers and Peat were the LT prospects.

Well yeah second best while all the interior guys played like shite doesn't say much. Strief still outplayed everyone. I do not see us benching Strief. Strief will either be moved or Armstead will be moved or benched.
And I like Armstead but he wasn't a dominant LT last year. He was pretty good which is something we hadn't had in years at LT. We've just been used to average to subpar play.
If Peat is better he will start. Thus the initially clause Payton used on Strief and Armstead.

Wondering if we see some 3 tackle sets by the Saints.
