All Benson did was write checks and try to move the team when people stopped paying for the shite product that the team became. Going to be interesting to see what happens next.

San Antonio Tom wanted to move the team. The new owners will fulfill that dream for Tom, although not to San Antonio.

I don't think Tom Benson was a bad owner. He did turn the Saints around after the Mecom years which gave us 21 straight losing seasons.
Benson had enough sense to hire Jim Finks when he bought the team and let him run it. With the exception of the Ditka years and 2005 the Saints have been an average to an above average team.
I don't have any confidence in Gayle Benson to clean house and rebuild better.
