There is only one truth in our American capitalistic system - it's all about the Benjamins. Ever owner knows that he is dealing with fire - alienating 80% of their customer base. And if there is one thing Trump knows, it's capitalism.

This will not lead to civil war - capitalism will take control. Either the owners will take a stand to stop alienating their customers, or they will go out of business.

Or it's forgotten and on the back burner once again within 3 weeks until the next time Trump wants to rile up his base.

Or maybe the NFL makes a rule that both teams stay in the locker room for the anthem.

Or maybe the people bitching about this suddenly stop and ask themselves, "Do I honestly give a frick about any of this?"

The people bitching about the most about this are probably the ones scrolling through their phones and drinking their beer or talking to their friends when they are at a live sporting event and the anthem plays.

When Tom Benson comes out and makes a statement on the subject, it becomes a topic for discussion on this board.

The problem with this is the majority of people either support or don't care about what the players are doing.

I would disagree with this . I would say the majority care a lot. Who watches the NFL? White males os the vast majority of the audience . Trump won over 70% of that vote

Right, so if ratings are down 80% after today we'll re-open this discussion, otherwise FO

The Saints released a statement and I read it line by line. No where does it state that it came from Tom Benson.
