So I found this video, its put together kinda shity but there's a lot of good footage of some of our rookies on here. Definitely worth a watch.

LINK

The footage of Murphy stands out to me, mainly because I've seen all the footage on the other guys, but his footage looks like Devin Hester back when he first started. This dude could be key on returns for us for some time to come.

I agree. Has pretty good speed and elusiveness and he should be given some looks in the backfield in addition to the return game.

Love the way Kikaha and WIlliams play with such physicality and meanness. Really, really like this class.

Me too man! I think we get at least 3 immediate starters out of this class with at least 3 more future starters.

Anthony is long and athletic..he will definitely bulk up in the NFL..he should be solid

Williams is long and physical which is awesome

Peat is a safe pick and will have an immediate impact

All of our picks seem to have what this team needs

Yeah I saw someone else post some Murphy footage and posted some myself. He is nasty in the return game. Extremely smooth and rarely goes lateral. If he can catch well that should translate to his receiving game pretty well too.

It kind of sucks for Saunders because he was looking great, but Murphy looks like he could be even better. Whoever wins out will definitely be our best returner since Lewis (or Bush if you think him better).

So we now have defenders who will eat the quarterbacks alive AND TACKLE IN OPEN SPACE !!! Don't know what to say about Murph, but I know that Florida's special teams looked really, really bad

The receiving aspect of Murphy's game out of backfield is just as strong as his abilities in the return game. He's going to prove to be a valuable asset there especially if Spiller goes down at any point in the season. The addition of Murphy gives Payton another option as a joker type back.

I wouldn't write off Saunders so quickly as only a returner. His late addition last season made all but impossible for him to get work as a receiver with his limited knowledge of the playbook. Everyone is worried about who will fill the Kenny Stills role when it could easily be Saunders who does just that. Plus, having multiple players who can help in the return game is always a positive especially since that has been area of weaknesses lately.

This is why I didn't understand why people were so upset at the Murphy pick.

First of all, he's...what? a 6th round pick?
Who cares?

Secondly, we just got rid of Pierre Thomas.
We need more players like him.
Although Murphy might not have the power Thomas had, they may end up playing similar roles on offense.

I didn't even realize it did that. I must've spelled it wrong and that's what it corrected to.

Agreed. While Murphy may not run with the power Thomas ran with, he is still elusive with his quickness. He also plays with a ton of heart just like Thomas did. I think Murphy eventually becomes a fan favorite similar to Thomas as well.

Happy, seems to get low and get his arm around defenders. I can't wait to see him sack Matt Ryan.

It was an enjoyable autocorrect.
