Good Luck McKenzie. He was a good player for us on the field and a good guy off the field

McKenzie was the most talented CB in Saints history. It's a damn shame how his last 2 seasons ended.

I'm confident that Greer, David, Gay, and Porter can hold down the fort.

All of the "Get rid of David" comments prove that you people have no understanding of the salary cap. We will not get rid of Jason David this year, his cap hit would be just as much as if we keep him, so he is staying. Mike obviously didnt want to take a pay cut so he had to go. This doesnt mean he wont be back. They will let him explore free agency and if he gets no offers or offers for less, I'm sure he will give us a chance to match(if we want to)

Mike didn't want to take a pay cut, but his salary wion't count against the cap until next year, but the writing was on the wall with those two knee injuries.

thanks Predator, that was some good years for us. I'll miss his dreadlocks flying.

I think he is another veteran used to getting a big paycheck having a hard time realizing you can now only get 25% or so of what your last contract was.

Nudges the Jenkins/Vontae probability up just a little. As bad as the DBs have been in the past few years the CBs could now be turning the corner. Starting to look like pretty decent depth even with McK gone.

David noticably improved last season, though. And his contract was front loaded.

exactly, we know David is good on the underneath routes and in the flat, if Sharper can get over there to help out on the deep routes, he'll be fine

He was horrible for a while, decent, and then pretty damn good. Hard to believe I am saying this MM will be missed.

Also with David, we'll be running more zone than in the past, so it's nice he has experience there.

MM, you will be missed. You played with heart and I hope that we can find a way for you to be back in the black and gold. Thanks

What does the defensive backfield look like now?
Greer and Porter at corner, Sharper and Kaesveharn/Harper/Usama Young? with Davis or Jenkins as a nickel?
