Also kept Sean Payton after 7-9 the 8-8 seasons. That was 2007 & 2008. Then again, 3 straight seasons 7-9 2014-2016. So why would this be surprising?

Wasn't that the team that finished really strong and missed out on the playoffs bc former Saint Doug Brien missed a 49 yard FG for the Jets, sending the Rams to the playoffs over the Saints?
Haslett def didn't deserve to be fired that season.
