I think it's just a rest day

quote:

Thomas (knee) didn't participate in the open portion of practice Wednesday, Joel Erickson of The Baton Rouge Advocate reports.
Spin: Thomas built up from no activity last Wednesday to a full session Friday, so the groundwork has already been established for management of his knee injury. His official workload for this Wednesday's session will be known when the Saints release their first Week 10 injury report later in the day.

This answers the "does Snead add any value to the team?" thread. Even though he isn't getting much playing time and hasn't done very well when in, Id much rather Snead fill in if needed than grabbing some guy off the street.

this dude takes some pretty tough hits. Seems to get tackled awkwardly a lot. Hope it's not serious.

I have noticed this as well, he always fights for extra yardage . I think that’s the reason , very similar to colsten in that regard although Thomas has a higher upside .

Yep. That's what happens when you consistently catch the ball over the middle (right into the teeth of the defense). A lot of WR's want nothing to do with those routes & get alligator arms. You can't accuse Mike Thomas of being soft. Snead is the same way.

So Snead is depth? I'm comfortable with that role for him.

He's 25 years old. Do you really think he's healthy?

Sorry to call you out like that. Something isn't right though. You don't go 900 yards at 23 years old, 900 yards at 24, & then fail to beat out Brandon Coleman at 25.

He's either hurt or something is wrong with him that the organization won't mention. Maybe it's even something in his personal life.

The only other explanation is that he completely fell off a cliff from a talent perspective at 25 years old (which I find very unlikely) or he's a head case that just mentally lost it.

I have to admit -- this is a first for me.

But MT13 will be fine!
