Medical issues could impact first two rounds of draft .

Every year, there are late risers and fallers in the draft. In most cases, the phenomenon arises from the simple reality that the media finally has caught up with what the teams have known all along.
Sometimes, the media never catches up. Which results in teams being criticized by the experts for taking a player earlier than the media thought he’d go — and in teams being congratulated for getting a steal who unexpectedly slid.
This year, there could be plenty of guys who fall, due to medical concerns. As one league source explained the situation to PFT, this year’s draft class includes more major medical conditions than in recent memory.
Specific names weren’t mentioned, but the expectation is that multiple players with medical red flags about which the media isn’t fully aware could end up lasting a lot longer than believed.
We’ll find out how it all plays out starting Thursday, when everything that the experts believe should happen becomes displaced by the things that actually do happen.
