I actually agree. I don't think Abraham has much left in him, dude is old.

He just had a 13 sack year. Still one of the best, but I think you need to start thinking about the future. But by all means, don't.

Abraham's got two more years tops. That should give Houston just enough time to develop for the NFL.

Yeah Yeah Falcons Blah Blah Blah.....So what do yall think of my Mock?
Posted on 2/1/11 at 2:52 am to Meateye
I like it except Fairley. Not that think your pick is wrong, I just hate to think of that POS going #1
Posted on 2/1/11 at 2:52 am to Meateye
I think Gabbert is gonna go earlier. Potentially first depending on what route the Panthers look to go. Personally, I think they should go with Fairley. If they do, then I don't see the Bengals going with a WR, unless that eases Carson Palmer into staying. If not, then they gotta take Gabbert. And I like our pick with Smith. Dude's a freak, but I think he'll be more of an LB unless he puts on some lb's.
Posted on 2/1/11 at 3:11 am to Hank Marducas
I think they will need another WR by the draft. Both of theirs may be gone not the QB. Carson is not going anywhere.

Good mock
Locker isnt going that high though. He isnt fooling NFL guys like he's fooling the draft experts
He's gonna get the Jimmy Clausen treatment

my quibbles-
8.Titans.......Jake Locker........QB.....Washington
- don't think he will go this high and could even miss the first round, hometown Seattle?
QBs on a whole will be a very big wildcard. Not only do you have a hard to place guy like Newton but there are some very big veteran names that could be moving to change the draft dynamics- McNabb, Palmer, Kolb, Bulger, Collins, Leinart, etc.
12.Vikings.....Ryan Mallett.......QB.....Arkansas
-on the QB note, queens want a vet is the rumor. Mallett marginal 1st Rd IMO
16.Jaguars.....Adrian Clayborn....DE/DT..Iowa
-certainly could be on talent but I have him as one of the highest rank potential droppers on the head issues
18.Chargers....Julio Jones........WR.....Alabama
-another that certainly could be but quite a value, I see him closer to 10 and not below Rams 14
19.Giants......Tyron Smith........OT.....USC
-I'd call this the most over valued in your mock. I think the next 3 OTs you have all can easily go before him. Smith more towards 2nd Rd
22.Colts.......Mike Pouncey...G......Florida
-he has name recognition but may be the 2nd or 3rd best G available. Easily no C/Gs till 2nd Rd this year
24.Saints....Aldon Smith.....DE/LB..Missouri
-I think I was the first one around here pumping him. He's a young and a deluxe pass rusher with high upside. The only thing is I'm not sure how well he fits in our 4-3. GW has said he'll make any positional talent fit. Similar to Justin Houston with a bit more hand on the ground potential. Of names that would be availble in yours I might put DT Paea (my top DT) more likely. A darkhorse in that scenario also might be LB Martez Wilson.
I get a lot less interested after 24... as said Paea ahead of Liuget-Wilkerson. Same question for Houston scheme fit in atl. LeShoure could but I'd mock him 2nd Rd. I'd bump all the OTs up a few notches. They get extra value in the draft and tend to go in runs.
Paea and TE Rudolph might be the best that miss this 1st Rd. Rudolph would be a perfect value and Gonzalez replacement in atl. Allen Bailey I have as a dropper but that's dropping from mid 1st and possibly still making the rd.

I can't see the Rams passing up Julio if he's available.

Hey Meat. Save this and compare to the guys getting paid to see how you compare.
The one's that stand out as high would be Pouncey Locker.
9.Cowboys......Prince Amukamara...CB.....Nebraska
Classic Jones pick
15.Dolphins....Mark Ingram........RB.....Alabama
This is money
18.Chargers....Julio Jones........WR.....Alabama
I think this guy is one of the most' ready to play now' pics in all the draft
Good job Meat!
