McCarthy would come to Nawlins because he wants millions of dollars in salary.
But… we don’t want McCarthy !!

You’re 1000% wrong. Loomis and Gayle will give their coach whatever they need to do to succeed. The right coach could come to Nola and run this shite just like CSP did. Loomis would adapt if the coach is a winner and builds a strong culture.
The problem is the team is at a situation with the cap where they will basically have to accept being terrible for a couple of seasons to get the salary cap in healthy shape again. I would have to believe an up-and-coming coach doesn’t want that tied to their legacy. More experienced coaches probably want to be in a potential win now mode.

It’s not even experienced coaches, it’s any coach with any demand that will punt in this situation.
You can coach your arse off 2 seasons and 3-14 might be the best you can get. Thats miserable and a hard pass for most unless you’re a Rizzi type who will typically get these opportunities.

Hire McCarthy as GM so he can name himself as head coach.

Folks keep talking about the power Sean had here and it is not what people think. He had input but not the cpntrol he wanted. The last few years he felt he had LESS control than previous years and that is why he tried to scheme the move to Miami.
Lauscha consolidated Loomis' power and left Payton out of a lot of decisions. Payton was very respectful to the organization in not complaining more publicly after Gayle backed him in Bountygate.
This team has one problem and it is not Loomis but the Bama grad running the Benson organization
