His absence doesn’t seem to be mentioned, but how much is he missed in making the run defense elite? Out run defense was good after the 1st quarter yesterday, but I think he’s a key piece in getting teams in 3rd and longs (with minimal gains and TFL) to really pin our ears back.

His health in the playoffs is definitely something positive looking forward.

I was gonna start a thread about him after the Chiefs game. We overlook run stuffing DTs on passing offenses but being able to keep 2 safeties back and staying in 6 or 7 man fronts having a run DT is nice to have. Andy Reid though is like SP and won’t commit to the run at times even when it’s working. They did have some nice gash plays on us and having Malcom Brown there may would have prevented a few 5 plus yard runs

I said this to my friends last night. We miss him badly. He is an unmovable object off the line. Some of our issues yesterday were missed tackles for sure but since he’s gone down our run defense has given up more yards than they have in 3 years. I don’t find that a coincidence.

Our run defense has been much weaker since he’s been out and it’s been very noticeable imo. Really hoping he can come back healthy for the playofffs.
