according to some fella on SR that is getting backed by other posters as legit.

Not sure I would take a 3rd for Bushrod/Streif yet, not until we figure out whats going on with JB. If we can get a 1st for Brown, I think we have to keep the other two. Wouldn't like going from JB/Bushrod/ and Streif who can move around to just Bushrod or just Strief and a rookie.

FWIW, I have been told that Jammal Brown's agent has fielded calls from at least 3 different teams about possibly setting up visits closer to the deadline. I was told at the same time that Zach Strief and Jermon Bushrod have had teams put "feelers" out there seeing if the Saints might be willing to take less than a 2nd for them. Either way I was told to expect one or more of them getting a visit sometime between now and April 15 (think that's the deadline for contracts). I was also told that the Saints though they won't pass up a good deal if one comes along or feel forced to match a rich contract, they aren't as eager to get rid of one of these players as most might think.

But with how tightly teams grip draft picks, i would be surprised if could get a 1st for Brown. Mcnabb might be going for a 2nd

Agreed. If we move Brown, we have to keep at least 2/3 of Bushrod, Stich and Strief, likely all 3

Stinchcomb is signed for 4 more years.

I'm talking about not trading him.

agreed. plus, I think we let Brown go regardless of the contract he signs. While he is very good, he is not elite and is unreliable due to his injury history. If he is on this team next season, good for us. If we can get a 1st rounder this year for him, better for us.

I don't think any team is going to give up enough value for Bushrod/Strief to make trading them better for the team. They are good depth that can start and don't cost a whole lot. That's probably better to have than a 3rd round pick that could bust.

Having Brown means NOT having to line up Strief or D. Thomas in the backfield on every play to help block. Well worth re-signing.

If anyone gets signed by another team, I hope it's Brown. He received a 1st & 3rd round tender so if another team wants to sign him, I'd let em. Brown has had a few issues with injuries in the past, so I'd let him go for a 1st and a 3rd.
Bushrod received a 2nd round tender. If Brown leaves, then signing Bushrod is a must. He protected the most important player on the most potent offense in the NFL. I know Ware cleaned his clock in the Dallas game, but Ware does that to a lot of tackles. I'd feel fine going into the season with Bushrod as the starter. We won a Super Bowl with him so I think he can handle it.

Yeah I would think the Saints will make sure to keep at least one of them. I doubt Bushrod gets an offer the Saints aren't willing to match.
