Thats pretty incredible. Captain checkdown in full effect. Btw, thats the fewest receiving yards ever for a player with over 13 receptions, breaking the old record of 71 yards.

That’s what happens when you force feed the ball to a guy that weighs 200 pounds and runs a 4.9 forty.
And don’t even get me started with the jet sweeps with him that need to be blocked perfectly to work because he isn’t beating anybody to the edge.

A few years ago we decided that Tampa was too fast at the LBer spot and stoped trying to run or pass up the middle. Yesterday we doubled down and almost every play was outside the hashes. There was a ton of room behind Devin White…but no Saints players there. Dink to Kamara, dunk to Prentice, out to Olave, short hitch to MT13, bomb to Saheed. That’s all we did or tried to do.

If a RB gains only 33 yards on 13 receptions the guy drawing up the plays is undoubtedly more to blame than the QB. Maybe Carmichael should ask Kamara to actually run some out of the backfield concepts instead of just "run one yard past the LOS and turn around." Run some Texas concepts, wheel routes, etc.

The checkdowns were more of a byproduct of the shitty offensive gameplan. When you are running your WRs to the deep outside parts of the field against a cover 2, you are literally running into the defense. There were so many plays that the ONLY option was a checkdown because everyone was doubled up, and a few plays had 3 defenders guarding 2 WRs within 5-7 yards of each other.
